 Mohammad Sohrabi
Last Post: October 2009

Sistan and Baluchistan is the third largest province of Iran with an area
of 181,600 km². It borders with Afghanistan in the north and east, with Pakistan in the east, and with the Oman Sea in the south. Having high mountains like Taftan, as well as deserts and Hera forests and a long coastline, it is likely to have a high lichen diversity.
So far only one sample is reported, from the surroundings of Chabahar.
